Onboard a bus from Ohio to Michigan, passenger Vincent Weiguang Li attacked Tim McLean with a knife, stabbing him multiple times and dismembering his body, including severing his head and consuming parts of his heart and eyes. This shocking incident led to Li’s arrest and eventual prosecution. The subsequent campaign by Greyhound faced a swift and unequivocal backlash, leading them to remove the advertisement weeks before its scheduled release date.

Toe Fungus Ad - An Animated Disaster

An even more bizarre and offensive advertisement comes from the creators of Mucinex, a product line known for managing cold and cough symptoms. This particular campaign aimed to sell a product for toe fungus. The advertisement featured animated imagery that left many viewers feeling nauseous rather than informed or compelled to purchase the product.
