The General Timeline for NIOS On-Demand Exam Results

The NIOS on-demand exam results are typically announced within 45 days of the examination. While the board promises results within four weeks, it often takes approximately one and a half months. Due to varying factors, it is essential to stay informed with the latest updates from the official NIOS website or directly contact their support for the most accurate and up-to-date information.

Monthly Sessions and Result Publication

NIOS conducts two on-demand exam sessions every month. These sessions are typically divided into two periods:

First period: 1st to 15th of the month Second period: 16th to 31st of the month

If you appear in the exam during the second period, the result will be declared after the completion of the mentioned session and a processing period. For instance, if you take the exam on the 22nd of March, the result would be published after the 31st of March, followed by about a month of processing.

Real-Time Tracking of Results

After the completion of the exam and following the processing period, the results are usually announced on the NIOS official website during the last week of each month. For the results related to the preceding month's exams, you can check the website regularly for the latest updates.

It is crucial to note that there are specific criteria for result release:

For candidates appearing from May to October, their results will be considered as part of the April examination of that year. For candidates appearing from November to April, their results will be considered as part of the October examination of the preceding year.

Once the results are out, candidates will receive their marksheets and other relevant documents. However, for those who need extra copies, the procedure mentioned below must be followed:

Send an application to the Section Officer, MM Unit, National Institute of Open Schooling, along with a bank draft of Rs. 100 in favor of the Secretary, NIOS, payable at NOIDA. Candidates should provide the internet print-out of their application, and the details should match those provided during the examination.
