A Personal Experience

Bro that literally just happened to me too… Recently, I applied for a Patient Transporter position at my local hospital on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. I received a rejection the next day, Wednesday, January 25, 2023, without an email notification. The site stated, ‘We have selected other applicants for further consideration whose background is more closely related to our current needs.’ It was shocking to learn the rejection in such a short timeframe.

Interestingly, the job listing was still available on the website and LinkedIn, with zero applicants shown as having applied. I re-applied with the same application and resume, and will update this post if I get another rejection tomorrow. Even if I do, I won’t let this discourage me; I will continue my job search and apply to numerous positions in my area.

Don’t give up and don’t worry; rejection can happen to anyone. It’s natural to be upset, but try to remain resilient. I also reached out to the HR department and mentioned the issue on social media, as some feedback can provide valuable insights. Eventually, my status was updated to a 'considered candidate.'
